If electricity spontaneously disappeared around the world then most humans would die in a couple of months. Electricity is vital to getting goods to metro areas, including food and water. Then starving people would flood back into more self-dependent areas, likely overwhelming them and sparking violence.

Trains? Horses ? Bikes? As for starving people ... my defenses on property would most likely do them in.
