Just beat Chapter 10 and considering it's nearly 20 years old it doesn't feel like it.

Controls are good, enemies are varied and the bosses are challenging but not overly difficult.

Love the ott cutscenes as well.

Only complaint is the dodgy camera and Dante's design is not as good as the first two

Which version are you playing? Definitely get a style switch mod if you're on PC.

I only ever really loved the first game in the series. It felt more like an rpg and less like an action game

I liked the atmosphere in the first game, can feel the Resident Evil in there

3 and 1 were the only ones i liked. they're awesome. idk how you dislike 3 if you like 1.

i'd have to think it would be it's tone. 1 has goofy stuff and camp, but its tone is way more subdued than 3s.
