He only has a chance because the election system gives his supporters extra votes, and blaming the people as a whole is helping the Electoral College. The majority of people in the country are victims of Republicans, and you are lumping them in with the people causing the problem. Americans are more likely to be the equivalent of domestic abuse victims than people causing the abuse.
EDIT: And your edit just makes it MORE clear that the majority of people in the country didn't cause this.
