Gun-Loving GOP Governor Seen Running Scared From Mass Shooting

"They" actually are fully aware that conceal carry is for self-defense and not for the notion of a "good guy with a gun" stopping a "bad guy with a gun." Meanwhile the individual in this story pushes that more guns is the only solution to gun violence and are pointing out the contrast between his claimed beliefs that he uses to block any form of gun control are in direct contrast to his actions and "they" are also fully aware that he will be back to harping "good guy with a gun" in a week and everybody running to his defense here will repeat him.

This is not just some gun owner, or some 2A advocate, but someone who has actively and repeatedly argued that the only solution is more of the thing that makes the problem exist. More people hopped up on the idea that they are a good guy with a gun there to defend others, to run into a firefight, or draw their guns at the slightest provocation, making situations worse and more dangerous.

He also could have had his small army of officers (people who are trained for these situations) try to stop it too. But nope.

Law enforcement was quickly deployed and the response was quick. The detail assigned to protect a politician isn't supposed to get into gang shootouts either.

He literally preaches that gun owners are supposed to stop mass shooting because they're gun owners.

See, and I think what should actually make this news is not entirely this part, but rather that his stance didn't change.

i think that's the main reason that people are even halfway arguing against it. Because on paper, it's like "guy says we should have guns and then runs from them when a shooter appears," as if his beliefs that people should have them keep him safe from the damage and threat of a gun.
