Because it was kind of a flop. Like it did okay money, but he basically wrote and directed it, and Hollywood doesn't really give much leeway for failures.
Apple gave him his own show which he wrote and it was weird as shit and got canceled after a season.
He was in that netflix Jamie Foxx super hero movie and a showtime show that got canned too.
