I couldn't get into Baldur's Gate 3 at all. The gameplay simply was not for me, but beyond that the characters didn't capture me either.

Most of the Zelda games, maybe all of them as I haven't played a lot of them.
Currently Playing: FFXIV, TES games, Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Overwatch, Forza Horizon 5, Pokemon, and various random Gamepass games.

Pretty much how I feel as well. I like FFVII. It's a good game. But I never did see in it whatever people who think it's one of the greatest RPGs of all time see in it.

I appreciate it more for the fact that it popularized JRPGs in the West and led to a lot more of them being localized.

It's a solid game but it's such an awful RE game. I actually like 5 a bit more. It takes the mechanics but expands on things, shows a new unique environment, and ties back into the larger narrative. The daylight horror of the opening village is fantastic.

Boring in what way? The physics in GTA 4 suck. The missions are repetitive. The game has significantly less side content than both its predecessor and successor. The story practically feels rushed

Every GTA since San Andreas is a perfect answer.

To me, GTA is your non-gamer's favorite game. Idk how can anyone who's played most must play titles be entertained by GTA, especially those people playing online for hundreds of hours.

Gameplay mechanics are still straight from 2004, nothing to show for. Bullet sponge enemies and the most basic gunplay. After the novelty of killing civilians and playing mini-games wears off, it gets really boring.

I didn't play RDR until last year and while I think that RDR is 9 or 10 in every aspect, the gunplay almost made me not finish it. It's so generic and uninspiring. And I guarantee you GTA VI will have the same garbage core mechanics.

Most of the universally praised games are games that I'm just not into. Any Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, and Final Fantasy Tactics are games that come to mind that have a large fanbase, but just aren't fun to me.

In terms of actual critically overrated games, it's gotta be GTA IV. It's the 3rd highest-rated game of all time, and it's the weakest 3D GTA game.

Gotta go with The Last of Us. Not that I didn't like it, but I kept waiting for this emotional gut punch moment I heard so much about to come and it never did, then the game was done. Again, it was good, I just have a hard time believing everyone was SO emotionally invested in what's really a pretty run of the mill zombie game.

GTA IV is immensely better than GTA V. I love them both but I greatly prefer IV.

To answer the question of the topic, my choice is the Dark Souls series. I only played the first one so maybe thats a mistake but I thought it was terrible. Loved the difficulty but the game was clunky and boring to me

Overated to me has be something that is rated too high relative to it's peers. Skyrim comes to mind. Mediocre story, gameplay, quest design you name it, but still tops most RPG lists despite being far inferior to most of them. Never understood it's praise. I feel like it is people that don't play the genre much that rate it highly
