Part of Konami being garbage is them picking Bloober to begin with. They love picking unqualified Western devs to handle series they long since fired most of the Japanese staff for (MGS, Castlevania, Silent Hill, Contra, etc.). They're both shit, that's why they're working together.
They always did that regardless of whatever staff they employed. See Metal Gear Solid HD collection done by Bluepoint Games (it was pretty good) and Silent Hill HD collection done by Hijinx Studios (it was a horrible experience much like the horrors of Silent Hill).
