While they didn't have the sign up, other places that have served this have it labeled as Yakisoba

The food here is terrible. My steak was so tough it attacked my coffee and the coffee was too weak to defend itself.
I would eat it ngl

they could at least spread out the sauce to try to save that dry ass chicken

this looks like what I ate every day working in a terrible nursing home kitchen for many years

That stuff looks terrible. We legitimately had good food when I was in the Navy in the 90s. Like honest to goodness actually looked forward to eating 90% of the time. There was a few duds in the rotation like liver night but most of the time it was legitimately good. Breakfast was always top tier.

this topic made me wonder, maybe you just had people working in the kitchen who actually had a passion for food? I don't imagine most people join the navy to work in a kitchen, but someone has to. maybe some sections get lucky with their cooks

and the chickens with that type of breading are the worst. tyson makes some precooked white meat patties that are so much better and only about 50 cents each.

I was unprepared.
Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.
So just spaghetti noodles and meat with no sauce?

If the military is serving this they should be extra ashamed.
This is where cool people write stuff.

Well you choose the rate you want to do so everyone who is a MS (Mess Specialist) chose that job. The food when I was in nuclear power school on land was really really good. It was like a dining experience. The food in boot camp wasnt as good but youre cooking for mass numbers of thousands and thousands of people. It was still perfectly decent but understandably not as good.

The food on my ship was excellent but I was on a destroyer with like 330 people. Much easier to cook for than say an aircraft carrier with 5,000 people. Ate on a few other ships and the food fluctuated but was always good.
