literally every other eastern european country and italy joined the axis
Oh good lord, I just noticed your stability. You, uh, might want to do something about that.
I lost like 5 days later
lmao
You fucked up the timeline, TC.
What game is this? I've seen bits from it. Kinda gives me Civ vibes
That's Hearts of Iron 4, i think

I don't play Civ much, but when I do, it's because I'm bored and just wanna play something
it's a thousand times more complicated than civ but civ is boring to me now anyway
Never played this before but...what is the U.S. doing? In May of '41, and with Japan having gone north instead of south, likely not much.

Actually, hold on, if they went the Kodoha route, why do they have the Dutch East Indies?
the first big thing that happened in the game was Russia invading Finland and it all went to shit from there. literally every other eastern european country and italy joined the axis and went to war with the soviets. after that it was like 500 divisions vs every other place they invadedOof. Let me guess, AI UUSR got bogged down in Finland and the Germans invaded and fucked them up?
I was trying to stall and did all the focuses on the left to get research slots so by the time I needed to be ready for war I was too behind. I know not to do that again especially since the extra research wasn't even useful
Ah, I didn't notice the date. I had assumed Pearl Harbor happened already. It's actually a bit weird in HOI4 because of the way the focus trees work. In a typical game with historic, Japan will attack the Philippines and draw the US into the war in April or May of 1941, but since this wasn't a historic AI game, I can't say for sure.
I felt like whenever I turned off historic, it didn't change much. Can you get the radically different paths like Hitler being overthrown and the Kaiser returning if you turn off historical AI, or can only the player do that? You can, it's pretty rare, but it does happen. I had a game as the USSR where the depression provoked a US civil war, the fascists won, and then allied with Germany. It didn't end well for me.
Oof. Let me guess, AI UUSR got bogged down in Finland and the Germans invaded and fucked them up?
