They really hate Stellar Blade over there.
I enjoy it for the specific game threads for games I'm playing. (I take part in the Forza and GT7 thread every so often lol)
I avoid everything else because I don't want to accidentally step on someone's toes and get my ass banned lol.

I got banned in a topic about women in gaming for using the word female (I wasn't talking about women or girls in particular, so...).
One alleged chick went ape shit over the word. I tried to explain it wasn't meant in a derogatory way and she doubled down and got white knighted. I was like these people are fucking crazy. If you're not in their 2017 club you might as well stay away.

I only go there once in a while. It's generally ok. From what I noticed, the general userbase shifts depending on the type of megathread you enter, so it's easier to become familiar with certain groups there.
Some bans were ridiculous before, but I don't really notice anything like that anymore, or at least as much.
Everything there is serious business. They don't really do casual conversation.
First you have to get approved. You won't be able to use your average free email address like gmail or yahoo. It'll have to be provided by an ISP, school, or work. That sounds like a complete pain.
Then make sure everything you say is 150% PC for at least a year to avoid an instaban. They don't even give warnings to newer members. First offence is a permanent ban.

What's the purpose of going there? I think GameFAQs is the perfect blend of strictness and chill posting. I've been to a lot of forums and it's either super strict no nonsense or way too lenient.Well, I just felt like experimenting with different forums and thought ResetEra would be a chill place for liberals like me to hang out in. But from what I've recently gathered, it doesn't seem to be very friendly to anyone who doesn't identify as far left. Of course, I'm open to hearing more about why ResetEra is bad before making my final decision.
I'm done with that place, but at least it is better than the r/gamingcirclejerk subreddit. Is that place also similar to ResetEra when it comes to political issues?

Take any stereotype of a SJW living on the Internet/Twitter and times that by 100. It's not only a cesspool, but it's toxic as well. I used to frequent there as a guilty pleasure since I lean Left on the political spectrum. But you can't have any nuance there (in good faith mind you) without everyone dogpiling you and eventually you getting banned. Stay away from there.

Instead of constant bans, the more toxic SJW users just block people they don't like and/or put them in mute lists that falsely paint them as TERFs, racists, transphobes, capitalists, etc.
wait you have to use school or work email?
ROFL

You'd probably be better off signing up for Something Awful. At least those guys can be funny.Came here to say this. You'll fit right in. There's plenty of people who have Antifa support in their signatures.
