hero of that Alaska serum run story from 1925, where a man and his team of sled dogs transported medicine in time to save kids dying in a village in Alaska.
The newspapers at the time and the 90s animated movie gave all the credit to balto, but it was really Togo who did most of the work.
While balto did end up being the dog who delivered it, he literally Just traveled like 20 miles, while Togo and his owner played by the incomparable Willem Dafoe went the distance, 200+ miles back and forth.
I was not expecting to like this straight to Disney streaming movie as much as I did. It went from "this movie is growing on me" to "ok I actually teared up just a little"
