Google Assistant no longer supported on phone in the search bar??

I hate it now I used to ask it to text people for me, navigate me to addresses in my contacts, set alarms and now it just Googles shit.

Wtf this is objectively worse.

Google Pixel 5 just became annoying to use

Gemini Ultra launched today. It's a good AI but the image generation still needs work.

You have to use your voice for assistant functions.

Ugh contacting Google was useless

They told me to use my phone to report the issue with feedback

To submit feedback and feature requests on Android:
- Open the device's Settings .
-Tap Support & Tips.
-Send feedback.
-Tap Send

Someone on Reddit actually was helpful and told me you could swipe from the bottom to use the voice assistant again.

So now I've just got a useless Google widget that I don't think you can get rid of
