The Legendary CE Videogame Screenshot Quiz (2000-2024 Edition)

Current Events

It's been a few years, but now that I have a lull in my gaming stuff, I figured it was time to dust off some puzzles and make a new contest. If you played last time, you might remember some of these clues, but now there are 1000 answers to guess. Some got new screenshots; some are debuting here; all had their placement randomly generated for true randomness.

RULES

  • Anyone can participate
  • Each puzzle has twenty-five (25) clues with a 125x125 image of a game to guess
  • There will be about 40 puzzles total and they're already created!
  • Answers should be given in the form of [coordinate]:[name]. Example: "A1: Pac-Man"
  • Only give one guess per coordinate (no "it's Bubsy 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 5D!")
  • Each game only appears once, although other entries in the series may appear.
  • Each clue is from a game that (re)released from 2000 to 2024. Any applicable system in that timeframe may appear.
I'll post the puzzle image via GameFAQs' uploader as well as the PNG file (Imgur link) for a cleaner look. Like usual, I recommend downloading the Imgur file and blowing it up for a closer look since it'll almost always be more useful than this site's uploader.

SCORING

  • You get 1 point for naming the correct game in the current puzzle. Use specificity where needed.
  • You get 10 extra points for giving a clue that completes the puzzle (i.e. the 25th correct clue)
  • You get 0 points for giving the correct year, system, or other extraneous info. Only the game's name counts!
  • You get 0 points for answers that were already confirmed. Points are a "first come, first served" basis.
In addition to these normal rules, I also have a special bonus rule (inspired by MTG: Planechase) that applies to rounds past the first. What rules are they? How are they selected? Actually, it's you, the players, who will be choosing them, though the method is a secret to everyone but me. Most rules are "positive," giving players the opportunity to get extra points, though precious few can be more...nasty. (Don't worry -- there's no bankruptcy rule or anything.)

A list of all discovered "bonus rounds" is available on request. There's over thirty!

Now, the quiz can start.

Note: because of the bonus rules, I will now be doing the official scoring update after each round instead of multiple times during it. I'll just make a note of who got which clue on the correct answers list instead, which should reduce clutter and
