Have no one to play with. I love Tekken and it looks so nice.

Been a long time I played fighting games.

Is the online any good?

There are weirdos out there who prefer solo to online, and Tekken traditionally has a lot of solo content. You will get stomped into the ground if/when you go online, at least until you get your bearings.

I'm one of those solo weirdos. I am garbage and I can't beat anyone online. I've had a long history of just playing single player modes of fighting games. I like beating the arcade mode with each character and seeing all the endings and just fucking around
Solo weirdo here with the occasional online matches--I was actually not bad at DOA 5 and SF 5 online. Anyway, I'm still on the old systems playing Tekken 7 and while the arcade mode is lame is has Tekken Bowling and Treasure Mode, which is a like a survival mode with winnable costume pieces. I find it fun.
There is no good. There is no evil. There just is.
I'm a solo player and I've been having fun with Tekken 8 and I've only hopped online a couple times. Got stomped both times but there's a fair amount of offline stuff to do as a solo player as well.
I am mostly a solo weirdo. I only really like to play multiplayer fighting games with people in the same room as me. There's nothing wrong with it.
It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha."

I grew up with fighting games in arcades, not on consoles, so I sympathize.

One time in the arcade I came in and a guy was playing, he was near the end and I waited for him to almost beat last 2 final bosses. 1 Jab away from ending the game.

I put my credits in, and saved him.

He got soooooooo mad.

He was 1 Jab away from beating the last boss (definitely not his first time), and seeing no ending (tekken arcade had no endings) , just a boring credits screen, so I saved him from that and gave him a little more play time by versing me.........

Sooooo mad. So so so mad.

I dont think I will ever understand.

Yes. Sometimes online matches really not worth the stress. Just play the game in the way that makes you enjoy it.

You should try couch matches with friends at least. If you don't like it, then you won't like it online.

yes the online is good. i dont have any friends that I play Tekken 8 with actively. had like 4-5 games with someone i know and thats it
laggy matches every so often but nothing game-breaking. im 66 hours in. the online community is great for the most part

im getting my shit pushed in now in ranked but i still have fun losing. just means i gotta spend some time in the practice room (im actually doing that as I type this) and learning is a large part of the fun imo
Talk about backseat fishing.

Why back in my day they didn't have online. You played single player except when your friends were over and everyone took turns, loser loses the controller and winner goes on. Back then I was incredible. Online I'm nothing.

Don't know about Tekken 8, but 2 and 3 were awesome. Same with Soul Calibur 3.

Tekken has has the most solo friendly content of any fighting game series since 7 so yeah, it's not a waste of money like that.

You could literally just play the Arcade Quest and be satisfied with that alone.

It has downloadable ghosts vs. anybody thats played a few online matches (and updates every 3 matches)
you can play against a ghost of anybody that plays the game if you want
Talk about backseat fishing.

This is the right attitude imo.

Some people are just too sensitive to losing to another person, rather than seeing it as a chance to grow.
