so I've had my Xbox one S going on 4 years now, I've never dropped it, I blast it with canned air routinely and fully shut it down and restart it if a game is having issues.
Now on to the new issue: I was trying to play an Xbox 360 game and I've never had issues until tonight.
The game in question was Daytona USA, I clicked on it for it to start, it acted like it was going to load up but then the entire screen went gray. I could open the menu using the middle button but I couldn't do anything but reset the console.
I tried it again after a full restart and unplugging the power cord for 30 seconds only to be met with the same issue.
Xbox one games work just fine as does other apps.
I didn't try another 360 game after the second time being met with a gray screen.
The only thing I can think is the issue to my knowledge is I just recently joined the Xbox insiders program but I'm not signed up for any beta versions of anything.
So I'm at a loss as to what caused the issue.
I was thinking about doing a complete factory reset if it happens again or to any xbox one games or apps
