To be fair to him in the space of 4 years he got fired, started up a studio and released Death Stranding. He's currently working on both DS2 and OD and already has a game planned after that.
For a studio less than 10 years old that's overall pretty good. Hopefully DS2 and OD are out in the next year or so.
