I'm never gonna beat it, but one thing that's helping now is to make a to-do list for the day that's easy to accomplish. Be easy on yourself and start with the easiest task. Completing it will help give motivation to do the next task. If you finish your to-do list early, you might even feel motivated to keep going and get ahead for the next day.
Also keep in mind that these tricks are going to fail eventually. Embrace that failure and move onto a different tactic.
A to do list is what I was going to suggest. That is what I did through college, graduate school, and 20 years of career. I start each day with a list of what I have to do and start checking them off. I also build in breaks (a lunch I want, a walk etc.) so it doesnt get too onerous.
Sometimes a day goes to hell and you have to accept that you cant get to everything you intended. But especially when I have a specific project like TC does, having a list broken up into tasks I can complete one by one really focuses me.
You can do this TC! You got this!
