Him and Gaston were mostly normal jerks whose misogyny made them become monsters.
I did acknowledge that as a citizen of the USA that I was privileged enough that all the Scars and Ursula types who were trying to take werent the type of villains I had to deal with real life equivalents of, but acknowledged that was not the case in other countries. Then, Jan 6. 2021 happened, and the Scars and Ursulas were no longer so unrealistic to me.
