That's my point though. It's either a retcon or the shot went through because it was super high powered. Aliens made it clear that handguns do not affect Xenos even if they only a mere few feet away. Gorman shoots one in the face multiple times and the bullets bounce right off. Vasquez could only kill one after shooting the same spot at point-blank range like 3-4x before a shot gets through and it bleeds.

This is 100% wrong. The entire reason the acid for blood was put into the movie was to prevent just use a gun. Aliens shows they are susceptible to conventional weaponry.
