i started volunteering at a dog shelter a few weeks ago

i basically go play with doggies for a couple of hours. take 'em for walks, play ball, let 'em sniff all around, give lots of pets, do training for treats. highly recommended for dog lovers who are looking for something constructive to fill the time.

Ya, A friend of mines GF actually works at some kind of Cat place...it would be a dream job for me.

i have considered quitting my software engineering job to go work there full-time, but the pay cut is so significant i don't think i can do it. I'll probably keep slaving away at the desk job for another 10 years, then retire early and spend all the time with the doggies

Ya, certainly grind out that ten years, that should be too bad.
Ten years is ten years, but it can go by quickly especially with a goal like that in sight.
