So lets say Pokemon gets a reboot. Clear out all the kinks, get rid of useless stuff, streamline some things, add some QOL additions.
The rules are though:
-We go back to a 1st gen. It will be Kanto, but reimagined.
-Game contains the main species from the original game, but updated. Some Pokemon like Jynx get an evo. Pokemon that had future evos may have them, or even different ones.
-Types can be changed to make more sense. Steel type for example, can be ch aged to mech or even man-made. Types can get buffs or nerfs.
-Poke on can have unique traits to them. Some can be physical, like different fur patterns, abnormalities, etc. This makes trading more enticing. For example, maybe you get a Pikachu with notched ears, or a Squirtle with triangular patterns on the shell.
-Gyms can be changed. Different leaders, different teams, etc.
-Story can be whatever, but honestly, Pokemon is at its best when it shuts up and just lets you figure things out.
Id honestly be down for this. Pokemon is a huge mess now. I would definitely be ok with a reboot. Clean up the roster, fill in some evolutions, make middle-evos more relevant, etc.
They could do this for each gen, and then we could actually have a nicer series.
