It's almost impressive how disliked Chevy Chase seems to be

Being an asshole celebrity isn't overly unique. Being an asshole comedian isn't even particularly unique. Like nobody seems to give a shit about Mike Myers being an asshole in comparison.

But Chevy Chase just somehow seems to stick out. As far as I know it's not even because of something objectively bad like a crime or treating an entire workforce as garbage like Ellen did.

But Chevy Chase just seems to have made a lot of famous enemies over the years. It's pretty fascinating.

Yeah that is a bit weird. Like people share stories about how they don't know if he'll turn up to the set today like it's some funny anecdote.

I guess a difference there is that we actually saw a bit of a comeuppance.
