2023 is a pretty good year video games with a handful of games completely dominating the overall conversation and attention.

But there were lots of other games too.

For example a Bayonetta prequel came out this year. It was good! But the world has moved on.

Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew

Total shame the developer has since closed down.
A Fallen Mascot
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun

I'm not too familiar with the world of Warhammer but had a blast playing this game. Highly recommended if you like retro style FPS games.
Save for your doomed future
Astlibra REVISION, at least on Switch (I know the PC version came out last year. but it dropped for Switch a few weeks ago.)

Stasis: Bone Totem

I recommend playing the OG Stasis as well as Cayne for some extra information regarding the story. It isn't necessary, but both games are pretty cool (minus the voice acting). Also, all three are ridiculously violent and fucked up.

Skull Island: Rise of Kong
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum
The Day Before

Dynamite with a laser beam
Void Stranger and Gravity Circuit.

Moonring for RPGs. Free game from the lead designer of Dungeon Keeper and Fable.
Oops! A teleporter.
I wonder if Avatar Frontiers of Pandora will be another one. Seems like a solid open world licensed game with gorgeous visuals and a unique designed world to jump around in.

But Avatar ain't the same as Harry Potter or Spider-Man even with those box office numbers.
A Fallen Mascot
Carol reed mysteries: The Game Maker is one game i played this year that i enjoyed and hardly any1 knows about. But I think most ppl might think it's a bad game. So id never recommend it.

The Day Before
This game was getting so much pre-release coverage then it suddenly disappeared. Didn't even know it released and with really bad reviews at that

I wouldn't actually call it overlooked, but I still think Lies of P got less attention than it should have.

Also Gravity Circuit.

That's hilarious considering the name was Forgotten Land.

There was that high-budget magic-themed, high-tech FPS that came out that was touted as "Doom with magic" pre-release and would cause video bitrate hell. Forgot the name of it though.
