Due to the trope nature of anime in general, love stories can sometimes come across as contrived and very by the numbers. Ohhhh look how Tsundere she is, they're obviously going to get together! But my goodness anime can also tell some of the best love stories out there full of meaning and wonder and just those squishy feelings in your heart that makes you so fucking happy! Let's start the new topic with a celebration of our favorite love stories in anime. If it IS a major surprise or spoiler for the anime, mark those accordingly.

Recovery of an MMO Junkie - They are both just exceptionally dorky but in a way that is realistic and meaningful. They are cute in the exploration of their burgeoning relationship and it makes me so very happy.

Toradora - It's funny how I kinda hated the beginnings of the relationship only to have myself cheering for them hardcore. It felt oddly... I dunno, both representative of the teenage ignorant love but also the messy ways in which we love each other and misinterpret each other and what we mean to one another.

* Fruits Basket 2019 (ignore the original from 2001, it's obsolete)
* The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady
* Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts
* Insomniacs After School
* Tomo-chan Is a Girl!

All of these are great 9/10 romance anime that I would definitely recommend, and they're all great in their own ways. I haven't given any romance anime a full 10/10 yet, but Fruits Basket's final season is 10/10 material in itself. If anyone is interested in any of these and wants to know more, ask away. Of these series, I would say that Kaguya-sama is my favorite anime of the bunch, but in terms of my favorite couple out of all of them... I think I honestly have to give that to Sariphi and Leonhart from Sacrificial Princess.

We used to go through a new topic every 2 weeks back in the day, then it slowed down to a new topic every month or so, then every 2 months... now we just had a topic last over half a year. My condolences. I can definitely understand why you might want to take a break from the stuff because of something like that.

Kaguya-sama and Tomo-chan are GOATs for sure, and BokuYaba is pretty great too

Horimiya is good but rushed, Nagatoro had a bad first ep but the rest is good. I also want to submit workplace romcoms, like Wotakoi and My Senpai is Annoying (which has the best beta couple/romance I've seen)

Wotakoi was amazingly fun too.

Holy shit Grendizer U is looking amazing. Loving the voice cast. Miyu Irino as Duke gonna be good. Hiro Shimono as Kouji gonna be fucking great. He's got that hot blooded nasally voice that suits Kouji. Sumire Uesaka as Sayaka is amazing. Glay doing the OP is fucking awesome. Looking forward to this.

Welp, today's new episode of I'm in Love with the Villainess was a painful nightmare to watch. I never thought I'd see the day where Shield Hero of all shows actually feels like a relaxing palate cleanser in comparison. I really, really hope the payoff next week is actually worth the suffering.

I can handle non-human monsters getting ripped apart just fine. Even as a young teenager staying up and watching Inuyasha on Adult Swim, I could handle those. My problem with gore/dismemberment only kicks in when humans (or very humanoid-looking beings like androids) start losing body parts. If Chained Soldier doesn't have any gore involving the human characters, then I'll be fine. So if you could, please check a bit further in and see if it has any of that.

I disagree with this though. I'd watch a sequel if it got one, but I think the show ended so well, at such a good stopping point, that it doesn't need one.

There was definitely more than just kissing going on in one of those! It's great seeing Yuri shows getting real, satisfying, conclusions these days and not wishy-washy maybes.

It's a really nice ending for the season, but if it doesn't get a season 2 I'm probably going to end up reading the LNs. There are still some things from it I want to see more of.

I really do wish they would have had the obviously ending for Lycoris Recoil. >_>

The problem(read, problem if you don't like lewd/horny stuff in anime) with chained soldier is not the gore. It's how aggressively horny and sexual it is , tbh. Gigguk has a great video on it that is literally titled "She will sit on your face if you win".

I made it up to Ch 11 before mangasee decided to die on me. There's one part where a humanoid ogre type enemy explodes in a gory manner, but otherwise nothing that could cause any issues. Just don't watch it in public :p

There's a moment where a main character loses an arm through an explosion, and it gets vapourised, ie it instantly vanishes. However, it's very quickly grown back

Other than that and the thing I mentioned in my previous post, I didn't see anything particularly gory. Just your usual battle damage (cuts, bruises etc. Lots of torn clothing)

All right, thanks. If it's only that one moment and it makes it into the anime (I have no idea how many chapters the anime would cover, I'm an anime-only) I guess hopefully it's telegraphed enough that I can look away in time. Hopefully there's not more later on.

The first two chapters are long, so I expect them to last one episode each. The others are all standard 19-page chapters, which translates to 2-3 per episode, which would mean a maximum of up to ch 35 assuming 13 eps. The moment occurs in Ch 19, which would be around ep 8 - 11, if I had to guess

You'll know it's gonna happen when the arc with the (minor character/power spoiler) time stop sister arc starts

Two of them, actually. One of the girls who isn't wearing glasses in that pic also wears them sometimes, mostly early in the season. And yes, watch Heartcatch. It's the Precure series that I (and a lot of people) first experienced the franchise with, and it's widely considered one of the best entries.

Man, Overtake turned out to be a real gem this season. Shows like this are why I actively look for original anime on the seasonal charts. What a fun ride.
