I bought it during Steam's Fall Sale and then heard that there would be another patch coming today, so I figured I'd hold off until then.

I've heard it's quite good now with 2.0 and Phantom Liberty, so let's see how this goes.

Gotta say, character creators where your character is just constantly moving around are annoying, and I don't know why devs insist on doing it that way. If I'm trying to adjust my character's nose, don't have them grab at their nose while I'm doing it.

Anyway, here's V. I looked through the hair options and thought they kinda sucked, so I downloaded one I thought looked better. I'm that kind of person.

Corpo origin, by the way.

Yeah, your origin doesn't change that much and the origin stuff isn't very long.

I'm having fun with the DLC, though. Just got back into the game.
Many Bothans died to bring you this post.
Corpo probably has the best interactivity with the story.

Each lifepath has a pretty short prologue with little going on, the next bit with Jackie is the true introduction.

Oh, I have to get mandatory cyberware. Hmm.

It's probably heresy, given the genre, but I was kind of hoping I could avoid cyberware. I get kinda squeamish with body modification like that.

I didn't use cyberware (other than the mandatory ones) for like 80% of my first playthrough completely by accident. I just didn't think about them. Made me think the game was a hell of a lot more difficult than it actually was. >_>

Friends,

its just DAMN FUN. Sure it has glitches... what are you playing it on, last gen or this gen or pc.

I am playing starfield..and that is boring as HELL. they learned nothing from Cyberpunk how to make the future look, or talk, or sound like.

Quick question: what determines whether an enemy gun ends up broken or not? Sometimes they drop their weapons, and sometimes they just drop broken guns that are only worth crafting components. Is it just random?

Also, I think the game is mocking me for not wanting to use cyberware, because I've now found four cyberware capacity shards on dead enemies.

The sound effects for hiding bodies are so comically loud that it almost makes me believe it was done on purpose for laughs. You're sneaking around focusing on not making a peep, but then you go to dump a body and you're treated to several seconds of banging and crashing sounds that the enemies are somehow completely deaf to.

Kinda weird that it's always lethal, too. Why can't you just drop an unconscious guy in a dumpster?

It's a matter of how they coded it, I don't know the details but it just works that way.

My personal favorite is killing a guy by slamming his forehead into the freezer, slamming the freezer open, slamming the corpse in, slamming it shut.

Motaro or whatever his name is sucks.

For those missions, remember one thing:

You can do non-lethal takedowns.

If you pull it off you can instead sneak the unconscious target out and drop them in a nearby car trunk to send to the fixer.

I always do that to this guy because the fixer is gonna send him straight to the Mox and it's gonna be a bad fuckin' day to be Hamtaro.

Wait a second, if braindances of people dying are this big fucked up illegal thing, then why did Judy have that one that she used as the BD tutorial?

Obviously there's a difference between that and a snuff film, but that still definitely seems like the kind of thing that would be super illegal to possess and not the kind of thing that you just show to anyone who walks into your room.

Wait, whaaat? The game never mentioned anything like that, or that's definitely what I would have done.

I'm not too far ahead, so I think I may actually reload a save from before I killed him. That's a much better idea than just snapping his neck and leaving him there.

People who nearly borg out or are borged out replace their blood with that white fluid. Regular blood doesn't work with all of those cybernetic modifications.

Cyberpunk is the only game I've been thinking about since I beat Mario Wonder. Got about 45 hours in and I'm lvl 44ish with a maxed out street cred. Running a net runner build with hella implants. I don't even think I'm halfway done with the game yet lol Probably gonna do a second run with the Sandevistan.

I commend CDPR for what they've done with this game. I dropped it almost immediately after launch because it was just unenjoyable. Now I can't put this shit down.

Alternative routes to objectives seems like the biggest thing. Some shards here or there that aren't really worth reading. Some jack in points but those are abundant. I don't think I've found any iconic weapons or anything behind skill locked doors. I'm running int/ta build for the most part with 4 in body and the rest in reflex. Don't feel like I've missed out on anything of importance.

You should have 20 Tech for the Edgerunner perk.

If you get Gorilla Arms as an arm cyberware they add a flat bonus to your body stat for door opening, +6 at max.

In essence you get enough points to hit 20 in 3 stats, 16 in one, and 3 in another. My last several have had 3 Intelligence because they don't netrun.

At what point in the game should I start spending points to spec my character? I didn't use any when creating my character because I don't know what I want to do just yet. Using the sword felt pretty good in the training, though.
Cuteness is justice! It's the law.
I've been hacking the access points as I find them, but it's occurred to me that there probably isn't really much of a point in doing that since it mostly just gives you quickhack components. I think the only quickhack I've used in the entire game so far has been the one to turn cameras off.

I suppose it also gives you some eddies, but it's only like a couple hundred of them, and that's nothing.

Edit: No, wait, I also used the Distract Enemies quickhack a couple times before I discovered that I can basically do the same thing with throwing knives, so I just do that instead now.

Immediately. Look up what style of play the skill trees lend to before investing. You have one chance to reroll so choose wisely.

Tbh it's a pretty shitty reroll system. I would have much rather gone to a ripperdoc and paid like $500k to reroll but I guess that wasn't popular. Playstyles also don't really open up until much later in their trees so it's kinda hard to gauge what you'll like

You can sell extra quickhacks gained from access points. Lvl 5 ones sell for quite a bit of money.

Also you can use the components to make more quickhacks to sell. At the highest lvl you'll be making like $5k-$25k per quickhack depending on the quick hack. Ez money

Hence why I italicized should , I honestly never expected to run into someone not using cyberware on their first run.

The Chain Lightning skill on the right is great for Tech weapons (especially a Satara) and the left one handles your healing items and grenades.

I think you're gonna want to make your healing items better, because you are gonna have basically no armor. After 2.0 they shifted armor away from clothes and onto chrome.

If it's enticing at all there's a bunch of stealth focused chrome that will make the game more fun imo.

There are some things where I just bypass critical thinking. - ROD
Like, I pulled up at a drop point to sell some stuff, then these guys just plow into me from behind, pile out, and start shooting. Then I start running down the street to find cover and run past the scavs, so they start shooting the Maelstrom guys, then the NCPD guy gets dogpiled by everyone at once, and then the Maelstrom guy with the skull over his head gets hit by a civilian car fleeing the firefight and drops a grenade and explodes.

On the bright side, I finally punched enough people to hit 5 Solo and get that +50 carrying capacity.
