Are you sure that was really a cop?
Whose house is the name in lol
Whose name is the house in?
Those are rookie numbers
So a religious leader serve you papers?
Why was your name on it? Did he take out loans in your name?
Dont you live with your brother and his wife? I think I remember a topic about you being annoyed at at in-law, her mom? Because she said something about you being in your room a lot.
Anyhow, does his wife know? Does she work? You would think if they ran up that much debt they would have something to show for it. I cant fathom running up that much debt and defaulting to the point of being in court for it especially when you are splitting bills with someone. Its hard for me to picture being this bad with money. Why is your name on it? Why are you a part of it?
does he gamble?
And thats just the debt they know about
Thank goodness that my parents havent signed the house over to us yet. They gave us their house and retired back to where we grew up. We should have signed for this house by now but life things happen and its been delayed.
You are correct. Does she know? No idea. She is currently out of town. Does she work? I think she is starting next week. As for my name being on it, its not. I explained it after your post. It was worded poorly. My only thought on it is that my brother got some braces several years ago. I have no idea if he took a loan out for it or not. Im not sure why the insurance wouldnt help with that though.I think your brother needs a family intervention on his gambling debt.
He does bet on Football so maybe its worse than I thought. I do it too but it just isnt that interesting to me so I barely do it
I guess I should have been more specific. The top page was what the cop filled out and I had to give out my height, weight and name to receive it. The rest of the paperwork had only my brothers name on it
Are you sure that was really a cop?
Weird that your name would be on the papers as youre not a party to the civil action.
For what reason would your brothers debt become yours if you werent a co-signer? I feel you were too curious for your own good and looked.
Sounds like you just accepted service on a complaint via a process server who said whatever to get your brother served. Unless for some reason where you live cops serve papers.
no, probably a Moroccan prince
His name isn't on the complaint (or whatever was served). His name is on the paper showing who accepted service of whatever was served. That doesnt really give him cause to read the document. Im sure the sheriff said who it was for.
Often sheriffs, deputies, or off-duty cops serve papers.
That doesnt really give him cause to read the document. Im sure the sheriff said who it was for.
Is asking someone their height and weight part of that? I've never been served papers, but that feels odd without further explanation.
