When I get into office, the first thing we have to do, social media companies, they have to show America their algorithm, Haley said during an interview with Fox News Tuesday. Let us see why theyre pushing what theyre pushing.
Haley continued, saying she fears a rise in anonymous social media accounts could lead to widespread misinformation and potentially pose a national security threat.
Every person on social media should be verified by their name. Its a national security threat," she said. "When you do that, all of a sudden people have to stand by what they say and it gets rid of the Russian bots, the Iranian bots and the Chinese bots.
Every person on social media should be verified by their nameHer actual name is Nimarata Randhawa by the way.
Yeah, this whole spiel by her comes off as ironically funny when you consider how ashamed she is of who she is.This, but also holy police state authoritarianism, Batman!

His name is my name too
Man, is there ANY republican running on not taking people's rights and privacy away?Republicans and destruction of rights are synonymous things.
Haley continued, saying she fears a rise in anonymous social media accounts could lead to widespread misinformation and potentially pose a national security threat.Who wants to tell her?
Nikki Haley on Wednesday partially walked back her proposed requirement that social media companies ban people from posting anonymously online for national security reasons, a stance for which she drew backlash across conservative social media and some of her GOP presidential rivals.
I dont mind anonymous American people having free speech; what I dont like is anonymous Russians and Chinese and Iranians having free speech, Haley said, not explaining how she would recommend that social media companies parse those users.
How would this even be enforced? This is nonsense. As long as Republicans stay out of power, never. If they do, they'll find a way.
And some consider her the most rational and reasonable Republican candidate.
People were slurping her up as a queen on Twitter, Reddit, and even here. Wonder what they'll say to this.
Probably " what do you have to hide? "
To the extent anyone could ever say she looked good as a candidate (and she never did, IMO), it is only in comparison to the other neanderthals running in the GOP primary. There's no "South Carolina Model" that anyone is looking to adopt.
could lead to widespread misinformation
Yeah she's essentially playing a strategy that ```looks good``` for right leaning people who think they're "too smart" to vote for Trump but will still do it anyway when the time comes. People can project some of their more principled views onto her. In reality, she's just as bad as the rest but since she's the only woman on the stage, she can pretend that she's a better representative for them.
It took me a while to enter this topic because the typo in the title made me think it was about POTUS posting anonymously.

We are deep into the era of people posting illegible shit on their phones and not bothering to proofread it before hitting send.Oh, I didn't mean it as a criticism, and I've been a victim of split-second auto-correct as I hit send/post. I just didn't see a reason to care about limiting POTUS's ability to post anonymously.

I'm pretty sure the government knows I have Rule 34 of The Lion King. I'm not sure if I want your average Joe to have access to that information. Or maybe it'll be like a Scarlet Letter scenario -- but with everyone having a giant A on their chest.Internet anonymity is overrated. Just own up to your embarrassing kinks. And your guilty pleasures. Leftists would eventually own theirs. It's rightists that would get utterly destroyed and disowned by their peers.

I don't know if I want to be known as a Feline Attracted Person. How feline are we talking about?
(Yes, the letters are intentional.)
Everyone should have a right to privacyExcept the ones who don't think others should have it.
