there's no way. even if it did happen it would be some glitch. i doubt they would even ban you on youtube. just make it not work till you disable your adblockers.Them banning you on Youtube for that has been confirmed here, but the ban is released if you disable your adblocker.
I can confirm a soft lock on my IP address via Firefox, Youtube doesn't load for me. I have screenshots on my laptop. I had to switch to Vivaldi.Does Gmail work for you?
It would just cache the first 5% of the site then stop loading, and all links were dead. I switched on my VPN and it worked again, tried it out on my desktop and it worked again. Just booted up my laptop and it doesn't.

Gmail is my primary. If this would come to pass, this would destroy my life, tbqh. Bold of them to go this far. I get it, but I'm not happy about it.Same.

Literally nobody who has claimed this has happened to them has actually put forth proof, so until that happens, this is nothing.
If they did that you could literally just sign out of YouTube.I'm reliant on my Gmail. If I'm locked out of that, I'm completely fucked.

Alright, I'll bite. Prove it. Show something that shows Youtube doesn't work even if you have adblockers off.
Addendum: Turning off uBlock makes it work on FF again.
...So, you had an adblocker on, and you assumed Google had blocked your IP from Youtube?
Huh.
No. I'm saying that they stopped playing ball with me completely on that whole adblocker popup thing and just flat out stop youtube from loading on FF, with the above post specifying said conditions. I'm not sitting here saying I've been DNA banned from Youtube for daring to block ads, or that my hubris has led to my downfall.
People really like to read circles around shit these days. My Vivaldi has an adblocker too and it works fine, for now.

TC is right, a quick google search says this is happening here or there very recently. I'm one of them. Did you guys think they'd just stop with the popup? Net neutrality is dead, and we're about to head into the wasteland of it. We'll see where this blows in the next week or two.
So, yes, you ARE arguing that they're blocking people, with literally no proof.
So, yes, you ARE arguing that they're blocking people, with literally no proof. You're not "one of them," because you literally just admitted that it worked fine when you turned off uBlock. Is your story changing, now?
Asked for evidence, provided it. I'm done here.
TC's inquiry is that people are being banned for using it. I'm using it, I can't access youtube. Of course if I turn it off, it works, lending credence to TC's theory.
My experience is proof, or a completely unrelated anomaly. Hard to tell. I was never going to bring this up until I saw the topic, it's been a curious bug since yesterday.

...If it works when you turn off adblock, then you're not banned.
Do you even understand what you're typing?
1: Adblock detected, do not load youtube for this user.
2: Adblock is removed, load youtube for this user.
?
also your 2nd pic shows ublock origin in vivaldi and youtube working
so what other firefox extensions do you have?
Yeah, I mentioned that above, it does in fact work on Vivaldi with uBlock.
which means it is NOT them detecting uBlock on your IP and banning you
something else is messing it up on firefox side
what version is your firefox?
I wonder how they're parsing that data, then, unless it's simply a case of sniffing the adblocker and putting me outside in time out
