My level 36 Hardcore WoW Mage has died. To level 1 wolves.

I was grinding up my defense skill in Northshire Abbey by letting four level 1 wolves hit me. It takes a while, so I was alt-tabbing in between refreshing mana shield. I got side-tracked, and even though I had sound enabled in the background, I didn't realize my character was screaming for help because I was also watching a Classic stream in another tab.

I maintain that a person who is paying attention and does nothing stupid should make it to 60 no problem.

Edit: Seriously, though, that sucks. It's not permadeath, is it? I don't play WoW.

I had fun. I can keep playing him on a non-hardcore realm, you get a free transfer when you die. Just can't play him on the HC server anymore. So it's not a total loss.

This is, yeah. Hardcore Classic is permadeath, but you're allowed to transfer the character to a non-hardcore realm after you die, so it's only permanent on that one server.

It's just that hardcore is where all the players are nowadays, so playing on a regular server isn't quite as fun lol

I did a big dumb.

I died at 33 to the trolls in Arathi :/

Got into the cave killed everything and then shit started spawning around me and it turned into me fighting 9 trolls back-to-back with no rest. Voidwalker died before I could sac and they threw a net

I still miss that warlock the whole run was going easy af too

On the bright side, I had been casually leveling a couple of "backup" characters, a warlock and rogue, who are both 19 now. So I'm not back to square one.

think I'm gonna take a break from mage leveling, and focus on those two instead. Right now, I'm having more fun with the rogue, so I'll probably make him my new main.
