I was legitimately going on that store page expecting a price of way more than $60. Probably still kind of overpriced but it could be way, way worse with how Squeenix tends to charge. Alright, I'm interested.

There is a 5e version, IIRC. Someone homebrewed it and it became really popular.And it (along with the announcement last year I think that D&D 5E was finally getting an official Japanese release) is probably the reason why this even got made. Square-Enix noticed the idea of a Final Fantasy TTRPG was something people wanted, and realized they could make money off of that.
