that's why the queue times seemingly never ends and nobody can play using the cloud right?

I get Starfield is out and probably a lot of people are playing it thru the cloud but this just proves it can't handle a surge of players.

It needs an overhaul sooner rather than later.

It came out in the big leak today that they stopped investing money into improving xCloud when Fortnite didn't gain much traction on it.

Why would they even expect it to? Fortnite runs natively for free on every halfway relevant gaming device but iPads and the Steam Deck. Barely anyone needs a cloud for it.

It was during Epic's spat with Apple so they thought there was an opportunity they could take advantage of.

It's not like it's the only thing. The needle already wasn't moving. Continued to not move after Fortnite. It's pretty obvious cloud gaming isn't really gaining any traction for anyone.
