It's actually generally regarded by political analysists and journalists heavily involved with that world that he will seek to pick a white woman.

We know she will be white because he refused to appoint Haley as SoS due to "her complexion problem" and we conclude he'll pick a woman because it helps him escape the claims of his overt sexism and contempt towards women in general.

Also the party is losing white suburban women voters due to him and this would be a way to attempt bringing them back.

This is weird to me and speaks to the people placing their bets on Pence not truly understanding who Trump is.

He's openly declared that Pence betrayed him and the country. "Betraying" Trump is one of the worst things you could ever do to him. He's cut people off permanently for far less than refusing to overthrow Democracy so he can play fascist king, which the fake elector scheme shows was what he really wanted. Mike Pence was his last resort without taking it to court and due to that likely the thing he's saltiest over.

It's not about him listening to them, it's about them observing the changing patterns and hearing insider knowledge that we don't.

Yes, Trump is a huge misogynist and sexist douche rapist, he also appointed quite a few women to prominent positions to try and obfuscate that fact.

Getting a white female VP would be a decent bet for pulling white suburban women, a big reason the GOP has been losing elections, back into the fold.

Trump needs to win as his best bet for ending his legal nightmares. He'd probably sell all his kids to a cannibalistic butcher, even Ivanka, to make that happen.

So he'll look for someone he can appear more moderate with. Ramaswamy would probably be the guy 100% if his last name were Jones.

Ramaswamy is not a moderate at all. Dude wants a 6 week abortion ban. People who are offended that Dobbs (6 week abortion ban in MS) was the deciding case for killing Roe are not going to view him more favorably because he wants that on a national level.

I don't consider supporting 6 week abortion bans to be moderate just because the next step is a total ban and I don't think many non right-wing women think so either.
