I gave them my phone number for family stuff. It's my aunt and cousins who are in the church. Not me.

Then some time later, I started getting calls from the Jehova Witnesses church, like quotes from the bible and about attending their convention. This is why I hate giving out my phone number to people I don't like.

You can make a direct request to have them stop contacting you. Those family members will excommunicate you, as a bonus.

You think they're bad, try having Jenova's Witnesses as family. All day long it's just non stop talk about their mother. You also have to walk on eggshells around them because they'll just turn into a monster at the slightest provocation.
I don't believe in belts. There should be no ranking system for toughness.

If you tell ones who come to your door you're excommunicated from Jehova's Witness, it's extremely common for them to spit at your feet. They don't even react like that if you say you're an atheist or satanist.

Wow yall got some mean Witnesses. I just flat out told them I'm athiest and not intrested in joining them or any religion. The guy I know would be the equivalent of a preacher I guess. He understood and we became friends. Since I moved I no longer keep in touch. I miss our debates.

One thing I don't understand about JW's is the justification they have for 9 men dictating the way the church is governed. (What is the term for that anyway, nonumvirate)? Where in the Bible does Jesus direct Christians to let 9 men rule over everyone else. I could see the rationale with 12 (not agree with it but understand.) But 9?

Probably. Following the pattern of "di" and "tri", "non" would make sense. Would 10 be decumvirate, 11 be undecumvirate, etc.?

When Jehova Witnesses or Mormons knock at my door, I tell them I am Catholic, and that gets rid of them.
