Nope, but I also don't watch sports ball
Cable for the cartoons and sports...and movies. What service you got? And do you have a physical box? Because with a physical box they last like as long as they aren't manually deleted, or your DVR doesn't go over the limit for too long.
It grinds my gears that recorded programs only last a year
Yes. Cable for the selection of sports, movies and the benefit of never having to watch commercials, as I record pretty much everything I watch. That's it for me. Was I a bit behind everyone else online watching the Lions@Chiefs? Sure. But that doesn't matter, because I didn't have to watch a single commercial or half time at all. Pretty much everything recorded. It's the best.

What I'm getting from this topic is that, if there was even a remotely reliable way to get ALL sports for a decent streaming price, cable would basically die.

Hell, when T-Mobile 5G gets into my area, Xfinity is dead to me. Might dust off the old cap and sail here and there, but I can finally be rid of Comcast.
It's not even all sports, it's mostly just local sports (and blackout restrictions associated with them) that's the problem. If my family could watch Cardinals games on MLB TV and Blues games on ESPN+ (which includes NHL Power Play) like it lets us watch the other teams in those leagues, that would be enough to get my family to switch off of cable in favor of some sort of streaming option. But due to the blackout restrictions, having cable and watching the games on Bally Sports Midwest is literally the only way for us to watch these games , so we're forced to keep cable.
Local sports and blackout restrictions are pretty much all that's keeping cable alive at this point.

Bally Sports+ is $19.99 a month, for those that want their locals that only come on that channel.
I don't have it now but I had cable until about a year ago because my old apartment complex had a deal with the cable company where it was automatically included in every apartment.Up until about 5 years ago or so, i could split my modem cable to my TV and it'd be free (low tier) cable
Doesn't Hulu Live or Fubo basically have every regional sports network?
Part of why I'm trying to get away from YouTube TV.
You can get NFL Network channel with streaming.
And you can get your local affiliate with streaming.
By the time you do both of these, you're pretty much paying as much as cable, to begin with, is the problem.
thats misleading anyway. You can get your local channels with a regular old $10 bunny ear antenna, Ive been doing that for years
Just isn't anything good on anymore.
Well that's patently falseThis guy gets it.
Well that's patently falseNot false. IMO, there's nothing good on anymore. You may disagree, but that doesn't necessarily make my opinion "patently false".

No, it's false. You not liking what's on there doesn't mean it's "bad"."You're wrong because I say so" isn't the argument you think it is.
