So it sounds like you guys also didn't like his default set up and changed him to a pact of the blade? I'll try that since I don't want to go too far astray from his storyUm, no. He doesn't have a default set other than Warlock. He doesn't get his Pact choice subclass until Level 3.

Um, no. He doesn't have a default set other than Warlock. He doesn't get his Pact choice subclass until Level 3.Ah, got it. I don't ever use Wyll, have no idea what Pact I chose for him.
Dang, you found a cape early. I didn't see any until I was like halfway through ACT 2
Ah, got it. I don't ever use Wyll, have no idea what Pact I chose for him.I have no idea why anyone would pick the others.
my party is level 4 right now, and I was wondering if I was under leveled for the Underdark, because I keep getting my ass kicked. You're in the sweet spot.

You're absolutely fine. You're also a good level to take on the spider nest below the ruined village, too, if you haven't already.I just googled it, and I don't think so.
Gale: has 1 HP
Me: tosses a potion of healing at his head
*bottle does 4HP damage, killing Gale before the potion could heal him*
He's got a whole side-quest dedicated to raising himself if he dies pre-maturely. lol
God, I'm still in Act 1. I'm at the Adamantine Forge area, and just dealt with Nere's Drow ass.
I am playing a halfling college of lore bard.Drow Half-Elf Sorcerer / Warlock with Dark Urge. Kind of basic but strong and skillful. I might try a non-charisma character next time. Just, try to get through dialogue without relying on skill checks.

Minthara simps going crazy today because they fixed the bug that locked her dialogue and romance out, and I'm over here like Squidward in that meme because it's not like I'm ever going to have her in my party anyway. Even discounting moral qualms, it's just such an extraordinarily poor tradeoff to make.
What is everyone playing?Half-Drow Rogue (Arcane Trickster) on my first solo playthrough. My party is Karlach (Berserk Barbarian), Shadowheart (Life Cleric) and Lae'zel (Fighter Champion.) I sub in Wyll for Lae'zel every now and then.

I made myself a new character. It's a Drow warlock (the Lolth kind, not the Drizzt kind) and I'm already loving how powerful my Eldritch Blast is at level 2 with hex and the passive charisma bonus. I might try a warlock in the next one-shot I do with my 5e group. There are lots of cool things about the class I didn't really consider until trying it out in BG3.
The ending kinda sucked ngl
if i never played the first 2 can i pick up and play this?Sure why not
Me in Rivington/Wyrm's Crossing: Whoa Baldur's Gate is big.I haven't tried it but I assume she just uses them like a potion.
Me finding out I wasn't actually in BG yet and then I crossed into it: Oh. Wow, Baldur's Gate is BIG.
Question: I've read that soul coins are for Karlach, where do I actually do something with them? I've had 6 in my pack for a while.
My power fantasy is to be the good guy. I can't romance Minthara and be the good guy.
I have no idea why anyone would pick the others.Chain Pact Imp has Flying and Invisbility and can scout whole areas. They can't open doors, but they can destroy them with swipes
Time gets you like 6 spells that aren't exactly uncommon and Chain gets you a familiar and familiars are awful in this game.
I haven't tried it but I assume she just uses them like a potion. It's not much just 1d4 extra damage and some fire resistance but she has to rage which ends anything she is doing which requires concentration.
if i never played the first 2 can i pick up and play this? No, it's not a physical release yet.

Chain Pact Imp has Flying and Invisbility and can scout whole areas. They can't open doors, but they can destroy them with swipesOr you can have Gale write the scroll and then summon Shovel the Quasit and get exactly the same thing without dedicating your class.
Or you can have Gale write the scroll and then summon Shovel the Quasit and get exactly the same thing without dedicating your class.Quasits cannot fly, their range of movement is therefore a lot more limited. But I mean sure, there are ways to get similar utility, but on the other hand maybe you should just respec Wyll into a Barbarian if you want him to be a low armor melee fighter?
What is everyone playing?I was a Tiefling monk, but I respecced to a Tiefling Oathbreaker Paladin
I am playing a halfling college of lore bard.
What is everyone playing?Human Ranger for the Animal companion.... But I hate having the animal follow me around all damn day, so I hardly ever use the summon.
