If a prophet came and performed literal miracles, would you believe in god then?

Again, in this scenario I'm talking about things that wouldn't be possible to fake like that. Regrowing entire limbs, growing trees and plants from nothing, altering the weather, so on. things like that, that can't be faked.

It would certainly make me think more in depth about it. There's still a possibility that he's a con man wizard. If he tells people that "God allows me to do this", it's a lot more palatable for people to believe and it doesn't give away the fact that kind of power is possible for others.

So what do you think would sway you to believe him to be working for God rather than either being a wizard or working for some evil power like some had suggested earlier?

What if he purely preached religious teachings with no bias towards politics and accepted little or even no money for the things he did?
