Only played the PS2 game, never finished it though. I think it was too difficult for my age at the time, or something.

Yes - Shinobi (PS2)

Played it back when it came out in 2002 and man that was the best ninja game I ever played. The fact that the game was as hard as it was made it even better.

I did manage to beat the game too - hard as well but worth it (Hiruko......*shakes fist*)

The 16-bit games are in every Genesis collection ever. I've played those and like 3 the best out of them.

I'm old enough to have played the original Shinobi in the arcades. Played most of the rest of them over the years too. Shinobi 3 on the Genesis, boi.

I've played the Game Gear Shinobi game.

Seems like it was very different from the rest of the series though. Not very fast paced, and you can switch between 5 different characters, who all had unique weapons, secondary abilities, and specials. Game seemed to have just as many puzzle elements as action.

Played 3 back in the day and beat it. Phenomenal soundtrack. Then gone back to revenge. Pretty janky compared to 3. Only managed to reach highway level.
Time to dive into the fireworks!
