well cheaper one would be the 45 min commute @PraetorXyn
Yeah. Im not sure what that works out to in gas, but it gets my vote. Im a rural fan though. Assuming you get roughly equivalent service in both places (e.g., if you have to do your own repairs at the cheaper place and get them for free at the more expensive one, that would be different).

But thats assuming you would only go out on the weekends etc. If youre going to be taking an extra trip to the city every night etc. and you really like that nightlife, the city might be worth it.

I would take the short cummute to save money and time. You can always drive into the city on the weekends if you want to try out their restaurants.

Just drive 45 mins for food when you want something different..

Well, that's one way of looking at it. If you've had a traumatic brain injury or possibly suffered from severe oxygen deprivation.

here is the updated situation

situation

new job 38k a year after taxes rolly 30k (I know its low but im taking this job for 1-2 years as a huge resume booster as this field is kinda hard to get into, i know pay is dogshit etc but it is what it is )

Commute 20-22 mins, for 2bd 1420$ month almost all utilities included besides electric for 1420$ aprt is mostly furnished (aside from tvs)

or commute

42-50 mins away for 980$ a month but no utilities included, I think electric is going to be double here since this is in a bigger city if that makes sense
