School me on the Watchmen comic (spoilers)

Just finished watching the complete motion comic. Theres a lot to unpack here but two things stand out: what was the deal with the life raft guy who went nuts? I missed how that tied in.

The other thing was Silk Specters relationship with the Comedian. Does the ending imply there was no actual or intended rape?

The Comedian raped her and then years later had a consensual relationship with him.

for the second part, I think it was just their relationship improved, to the point where they could end up hooking up, even though he had tried to force himself on her at one point.

it's been a while, so my recollection of things is hazy, at best.

I think that Alan Moore just had too much of a giggle after thinking of the raw shark = Rorschach pun that he composed an entire pirate story just to be able to use it.

The Adrian descent makes sense, but at the time of the telling, I dont think its been revealed that hes both mad and the villain.

The Silk Specter has a later relationship with the Comedian and gets knocked up. I figured while watching the show she didnt reveal who the father was because the daughter was the result of the rape. I guess, instead, it was because she was ashamed of her love for an asshole.

Im going to have to rewatch it after some time passes. Not a problem, there. I enjoyed it.
