Virginia:
Mass gun murder okay
Viewing naked people on a screen is a terrible thing
I'm against guns entirely, but the topic title is a lie. This is about 18-20 year olds, it's right there in the article.
It's saying that there can't be a higher age limit than 18 for buying guns.
It is misleading. How? Title is saying judge rules there can't be age limits above 18 for guns.
And to answer your question in the op, yes. If you can get drafted to die for your country at 18 you should also be able to have a drink, or buy a handgun.

In that case I dont understand your opening post. Are you talking about booze?Sure, and various other things.

At this point I'm just fucking sick about hearing about anything to do with the second ammendment.
The founding fathers were not all seeing all knowing beings that knew this country would end up like this. If they were, we'd at least have term limits.
Not to mention the fact that the founding fathers didn't intend for any of the rights granted by the constitution to apply to minorities.
uh-huh.
and then you wonder why conservatives are so obsessed with originalist and textualist interpretations of the constitution.
what rights were minorities provided with by the constitution originally , from the textual intent they had it 1787 again? Yup.
A teacher that I used to look up to once posted a meme on Facebook that said "We had more freedom in 1776 than we do today."
I asked him to define "we." All he said was "Point taken, sir." Then he actually cheered on the insurrection and I was done with him.

wow. What a piece of shit. The only thing that stood out to me when he was my teacher was that he was one of those overbearing vegetarians. A few of us would regularly go down the street to a burger place and then eat our food in a room near his class. He'd be talking to us while obviously staring in disgust at our burgers the whole time.
I wonder if he gave lower grades to POC on purpose

If they didn't intend any of the rights to apply to minorities then they would have added that caveat.

The Constitution was originally created under the idea that only property owners had the ability to exert their rights.
Guess who didn't have any property in 1700s America?
Well it is a good thing that the language was so pure in the constitution that minorities can now exercise their rights. There wouldn't have been slavery if the slaves had guns

There were black property owners in the 1700s and 1800s

I'm not sure if he was always like I mentioned in the previous post or if he fell down a rabbit hole of far right media at some point, but... I don't associate with him any more at all.
Ahh so black property owners were viewed the same as white property owners in the 1700s? (Since this all came from the statement of property owners being able to exert their rights)
Right? Do we really need to cover in detail ITT the reasons why the 13th amendment, the voting rights act, and the civil rights act were even necessary in the first place?
This is why I feel like actual history needs to be taught, regardless of what dumbasses like Ron DeSantis think. So many people try to purport that the founding fathers were these all-knowing future-seeing individuals who did nothing wrong.
Fuck that.
