I gotta ask as someone who's done a great job at insulating my childhood joys from the internet, what's up with people hating wall jumping so badly? I get it's probably tougher sequence break stuff, but it always seemed pretty consistent. Hit the wall, hold the other direction right before jumping. I dunnooooo
This is a cool sig

Because it's very inconsistent in most applications as the amount you are traversing is too high.

R3 and l3 are now start buttons

Instead of two analogs, you get 2 d pads like the n64

You have to press all face buttons to run in an openworld game
I do drawings and stuff

I also have trouble wall jumping in Super Metroid. Thankfully wall jumping controls got a lot better over time
It's love, it's love, it's love, make it HURT.

There are three rooms off the top of my head that can't be reliably traversed because the wall jumping mechanic is too inconsistent.

It's not inconsistent, you're just bad if you think it is.
Press Square and Circle simultaneously to jump. Press Triangle and X crouch and hold them to crawl.

Hold Square on a selected armor set in your inventory to equip it. The armor stays equipped as long as you continue to hold Square. Press R3 and Circle simultaneously to use an equipped armor set's special attack.

Use R2 to strafe left and L2 to strafe right. Press Start to fire your main weapon.

Tap L3 to reload your weapon. Hold L3 to fire your weapon. Tap L3 repeatedly for rapid fire. You cannot fire your weapon while moving.

Technically Hambo is the only one following the topic, since it's about the worst designs you can imagine.

Just a few ideas for games with god awful controls. But I feel like I have played games that want you to press opposing face buttons at the same time before.

I've played a few where a given special ability was tied to Y+A or X+B.

I usually just accepted that I wouldn't be using those.

XD yeah, understandable. I think the Bayonetta games have an uppercut where you have to press X either at the same time or immediately after pressing B to jump and I probably would have used it at some point if the buttons weren't across the damn controller from each other.

Also sprinting with Circle in Souls games is fine until you need to turn the camera with the right stick. -_-

Yep, I bought a controller with paddle buttons because my hand was were hurting a lot from circle + right stick claw finger positioning
The default flying controls in GTAV for kbm. Holy freaking crap, those could not be less intuitive if they tried. Took me ages to figure out what I was doing wrong.

W for thrust. S for brake. A/D for spinning left or right. Keypad 8/9 to nose up or down. Keypad 4/6 to turn left or right.

Who thought that was a good idea?
Shut your BF28/9 sound hole and listen up.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice? Strike three.
