Dude was a huge influence on electronic music and even early hip hop.

Riot in Lagos is still one of the greatest concepts for a song (an electronic translation of Fela Kuti style Afrobeats) ever. And one of the greatest executions of a concept, it still sounds cutting edge and futuristic today.
