Do you remember the first time you dealt with someone being fired or laid off?

Probably a dumbass idea for a thread, but maybe people have some interesting stories about this >_>

I remember the first real job I ever had, my own manager got fired. I quickly found out it was because his subordinate's metrics (including mine) were all very poor. I felt really shittyabout that, because when he was still with the company, he used to complain to us all the time that we weren't listening to him. He was fired, I thought really bad lmao.

I remember like 10 years ago at my old job, some coworker pulled a knife on our supervisor lol. And then another coworker who witnessed it wouldn't tell police what happened because "he ain't a snitch." They both got fired >_>

One of my first jobs, when they took on new staff theyd very rarely last more than a day or two. Theyd either be told not to come back or they would decide it for themselves.
