I've only ever heard this argument in real life from
very
old people. I once had this 72 year old ex-blues playing looking guy if we sold wing-dings or real wings. I said, "Well, they're bone-in. You get the flats and drums in a mix. They're not nuggets, or breaded [what wing dings are here.]"
I find that the combined drum-flat is much worse. Smaller, more cartilidge you need to ironically tear in half to access the meat on the inside of the flat, etc.
