To much?
Yeah kinda. I think the most I ever worked was like 55 but that job was bullshit and would over schedule me because they had no faith in anyone else lol.

That being said I might be picking up a second job soon but its something fun that I actually want to do.

yes
It don't matter. None of this matters.
Last year I was working at least 100 hours a week from April to the middle of September without any days off... It was kinda hell but comes with the territory of having your own business that relies on summer tourists. Thankfully I haven't worked since the end of October but I wouldn't want to work that much again, even if I did make a very good amount of money.

Totally depends on what the job is (physical/manual vs office/mental) and also how much general downtime can actually get incorporated into that billable time.

I've done the office/mental version of 60 hours a week where I seriously had no downtime as part of those billable hours. And it was work I seriously had to be thinking about what the hell I was doing on the fly. It sucked.

I know for a fact though with some versions of that setup I said in the first paragraph...it's really not that bad.
To/fro from-towards
Did it for a while in my 20s

Got me ahead in my career
So now in my 30s i work 40hours for a lot more $ than i would have

Id recommend the approach to any recent grad

60 is too much for me. I wouldn't work that much unless I was in a position where I absolutely had to. Thankfully I can live comfortably with my 40 hour a week job.

My free time is more important to me than extra money.
Save for your doomed future
I refuse to work even 40 hours. I do not think I would be able to live working 60 hours a week.

Yes. Working long, exhausting hours is not a flex and should only be done out of necessity. But of course, it ultimately depends on if you mind.
I don't hold grudges. Let's vehemently argue today and casually have a beer together tomorrow.
I'm lucky to have a good job. I work 42-44 hours a week and that's already more than enough imo. I would never want to work 60 hours a week. Even if I could earn more money, I wouldn't do it. Having enough free time and a good work life balance is much more important to me than getting even more richer.

I feel sorry for those people who don't have much of a choice and need to do it, because they have low salaries and/or have family to care for. I wished, no one had to work more than 45 hours to make at least a decent living.

Every week? Yeah, you'll get burnt out rapidly doing that.

Sell the team Dan
My current job is around 60hrs working 5 days a week. For 3/4ths the year. Then goes down to a around 40s during the summer months.

Living just 20mins away certainly helps, and I intend to move even closer to make the long hours more bearable.

what do you do?
Ran a restaurant on the beach, it was a smaller operation with basically 3 employees but I was there early and super late. I was in charge of cleaning everything which was a very big part of the job.

60 is absolutely absurd

I mean, fuck, 40 is too much tbh.

Either the work day or the work week needs to be shortened (with wages adjusted of course).

Fate rarely calls on us at a moment of our choosing.
Should be unacceptable. Unless you own your own business and basically have to work all hours of the day.
