and the "hydron collider" and how they almost created a black hole
i tried to subtly correct her on the pronunciation of quantum a couple times, but it didn't stick. and also how the LHC wasn't going to create a black hole, only that it could create very very tiny black hole-like quantum singularity events that last a fraction of a fraction of a second or whatever. nothing that is going to suck the whole earth through it or anything like that.
but she did admit that she didn't really go very far with science in high school, and that she tries to learn what she can about it here and there but only understands like half of it, lol. so i give her an A for effort. we talked about the Higgs Boson, which she was still referring to as the God Particle, and i told her about what we know about the Higgs field nowadays, and we talked about quantum entanglement and the multiverse theory, and i told her about the one-electron universe theory which blew her mind. all in all, it was a nice if somewhat haphazard conversation that i was rather not expecting to be having with a bottle-blonde hairdresser lol.
It don't matter. None of this matters.
