Wireless preferred. My XM-3's lasted a few years but they're on their last legs. Should I just get those again? Recommendations welcome.

For studio quality, I would recommend Bose or Beats. A lot of people talk down about Beats, but for the price point, the sound quality is phenomenal. Bose are like $300 or something.

I would go into Best Buy and listen to some of them.

I bought Sennheisser HD599 yesterday because I heard they were good and they're around your price range. I'm too afraid to open mine though so I don't know if they are yet.

But keep in mind that if you buy them we can be headphone twinsies
