My aunt and two baby cousins were killed by her husband before he killed himself, and a high school friend had his entire family gunned down by his step dad.

Family violence is such a tragedy.

He was a true professional at work but sometimes we would all go to the bar after work where he would rage with alcohol and cocaine.

The article says that the police didn't mention who inflicted the injuries. How do you know it was your coworker and not his wife or a loose killer?

Yeah, I had a colleague (not super close, but talked to a few times and hung out with in the break room a few times) who was the victim of her father who annihilated his whole family and then killed himself. It's pretty surreal, you kind of think this shit is so rare that the only place you'd ever intersect with it is on Criminal Minds.

Absolutely tragic.

Holy shit. Not far from me. Its wild what seemingly normal people can suddenly do. The circumstances (family involved, ages, etc) are really close to mine own too. Cant imagine.

My uncle raped and killed his wife then himself leaving his two kids with no family. My other aunt took them both in so they wouldnt be separated, we never told them. Old one was like 3 when it happened.

So there were warning signs. Ugh.

And no, most people who do this don't even want to kill themselves. They feel like they own their family and if the family isn't happy with them then the family doesn't deserve to live. And only after they kill their family do they realize they ruined their lives and off themselves. And of course the process is expedited immensely because of the ease of access to guns.

The entire article is basically "Everyone knows who did it but the police haven't outright said it yet so we won't."

The police also said it was domestic related so that rules out loose killer.

Uh doing cocaine and being accused of harm and released is not a "warning sign" for mass murder. LOTS of men get falsely accused by angry partners of doing shit. Happened to my buddy. His wifes in the loony bin now and he has full custody.

A warning sign of domestic abuse. And guess what most mass murderers have in their background? A history of domestic violence. More specifically, them committing acts of violence against women and/ or children.

Your coworker story is irrelevant.

Of course there was no way for TC to know that.

Ive never personally met his wife or kids but another coworker of ours knew the family and said the wife was just as toxic as he was.
