I think it's worth checking out. I played it a bit with my brother. If you've played Minecraft before. It carries that exploration for resources feeling down to a tee. With a lot of additives to it.

Survival stuff burnt me out a long while ago. But I can see that it could be very addictive to someone.

I really enjoy it. Some of the progression is a bit annoying. Basically, there are extra upgrades to weapons called overclocks that range from weapon stat changes to full blown changing how the weapon works. However, which overclock you get is up to RNG on multiple fronts.

That said, I really enjoy the gameplay loop. The gunplay is satisfying, and there's decent enemy/hazard variety due to the procedural generation aspect. Folks range from quiet co op to pretty friendly chatter. You'll run into some bad eggs, as with any other multidoods game.

i don't play Minecraft and don't really care for that kind of game tbh, lol. but Steam tells me the most similar games to it that i've played are the Borderlands games, and i love those.

the description says it is 1-4 players. is it feasible to play entirely by yourself, or not really?

It's feasible, and you get a robot drone companion to help with the mining and combat.

Not quite as engaging solo as Borderlands would be, though.

hmm, i dunno. i played some of the tutorial level and it's not really catching my interest. it's so dark. having to constantly throw flares around in order to see everything is kinda lame. and having to dig through walls all the time in order to progress is pretty tedious, i'm not really into that sort of thing.

When playing with a group, it is much less dark and if theres a decent driller, getting through walls is much faster.

I didnt find the tutorial fun and didnt learn anything from it, but actually playing the game was enjoyable.

I've said it before, so i'll just condense it

To me, I hated it, lot of bugs, and the chance of losing an hour+ progress due to a bug or unclear instructions will piss you off
