i dunno about Papa John's, but 50% off menu price isn't even the best deal that you can get at Dominos. or at least, that's how it used to be. like with the way the $7.99 coupon was before, it would usually say i saved like over 10 bucks on the order, which even with tax was more than what i paid.
and i remember a looooong time ago they had a coupon that was for 3 medium unlimited topping pizzas, for like 19.99 or 22.99 or something like that, and i would get it all the freaking time and save so much more than 50%. specialty pizzas were included, which are never included on just any coupon now, and you could get extra cheese and like 5 or 6 toppings and extra of every topping, and it would be the same flat rate. sometimes it would tell me that i saved like 30-40 bucks.
i knew a guy who worked at Dominos back in like the mid 2000s and he said employees get 50% off menu price on everything, but it doesn't work with any coupons or deals, and there were plenty of deals back then that were better than 50% off menu price, so in essence the employee discount was useless. that's pretty fucking lame. i worked at Walmart at the time, and we got 10% off of everything, regardless of if it was on sale or a special or whatever.
